Innovation was never far from the company’s thinking and in 1962 Richard Pinkham gave customers the opportunity to sew their own gloves. The special offer comprised of a kit of parts and instructions which was sent to customers who had responded to his letter..

Once the customer had returned the order form the glove kit was
dispatched with the utmost urgency.......
packaged in a very smart and sturdy envelope the customer's order was posted out. In the envelope the customer found all the cut fabric components to assemble their gloves together with a set of instructions.
